Domenic Esposito is a Massachusetts-based artist and social activist who transitioned from a successful corporate financial career to pursue art full-time.
He trained at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Stonybrook Fine Arts, Artist Asylum and Prospect Hill Forge, where he developed his metalwork expertise. As a sculptor he draws inspiration from Renaissance Italy and Asian culture.
In 2018 he gained national recognition through oversized opioid-spoon sculptures placed at pharmaceutical-company doorsteps as commentary on the opioid epidemic, and founded the Opioid Spoon Project, a 501(c)(3) addressing the crisis through advocacy and legal justice.
His work appears in galleries and fairs including Canvas Fine Arts (Boston), Piano Craft Gallery, Insight Artspace (NYC), Scope, Art Palm Beach and SOFA Chicago. His piece "Accountability" won Best in Show at the 2019 Arts Benicia Juried Show. He completed a residency at Mana Contemporary and collaborated on print work with Gary Lichtenstein.
